These cozy fleecy mittens are from te-t gloves and are made on Shikoku Island, Japan.. an island famous for its udon, Buddhist pilgimages and diverse and wild landscapes.  But it's also where 90% of Japanese gloves are produced..most often in 100+ year-old factories that still employ artisanal methods passed down through generations (as well as cutting-edge machinery).
